Cyberbullying Campaign

This three-poster campaign aims to raise awareness about the psychological and emotional damage caused by cyberbullying. Each poster features a bold, typographic message layered over black-and-white portraits to humanise the issue:

The split-image design visually represents the duality between a victim’s online persona and their real-world emotional state. Through striking contrasts and minimal colour, the campaign invites reflection on the consequences of digital hate and promotes a safer, more empathetic online environment.

challenge.

The main challenge was to visually communicate the invisible yet deeply harmful effects of cyberbullying in a way that feels immediate and relatable. Unlike physical bullying, online abuse often happens in private and leaves no visible scars, making it harder for others to recognise or take seriously.

The task was to raise awareness without being too abstract or overly graphic, to make people stop, reflect, and empathise with the victims. Balancing strong emotional impact with visual clarity and minimal design elements required thoughtful composition, messaging, and restraint.

results.

The outcome is a striking series of three posters that deliver a unified and impactful message: “Don’t let the internet ruin your dreams/life/kids.” The campaign successfully uses powerful imagery and bold typography to evoke emotion and spark awareness around the often-overlooked effects of cyberbullying. By combining minimal design with strong visual storytelling, the posters create a lasting impression suitable for public spaces such as schools, transport hubs, or digital platforms.

The result is a clear, empathetic communication tool that encourages viewers to rethink their online behaviour and advocate for safer digital environments.
